Zeus is a supporting character in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus. He is the King of the Olympians, husband and brother of Hera, youngest son and child of Kronos and Rhea, brother of Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Hestia, Demeter and Chiron and specifically Thalia and Jason Grace's father, the uncle of Percy Jackson, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, and grandfather of Annabeth Chase, Luke Castellan, and Clarisse La Rue.

Zeus is the ruler of Mount Olympus who was prophesied to overthrow his father Kronos and usher in a new era. However, he is also the one to first break the pact that Zeus, Hades and Poseidon made on the river sticks that prevented them from ever fathering any more children. He currently rules the other Olympians, and is the Greek God of lightning, honor, justice, and the sky.

His Roman aspect is Jupiter.

Zeus is portrayed by Sean Bean in the 2010 adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. He was supposed to appear in the sequel, Sea of Monsters but Zeus' scenes were cut.

TV Series[]

Zeus was later readapted into Disney's adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He is portrayed by Lance Riddick in the first season but due to the actor's death will be recasted in future seasons.
