Ying Li is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside The Great Protector) of the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
She was the former guardian of Ta Lo, as well as the wife of Xu Wenwu, the mother of Shang-Chi and Xu Xialing, and the sister of Ying Nan.
Li abandoned the ways of her people after the Monks refused to allow Wenwu to live in Ta Lo. She was later killed by the Iron Gang Leader and her death was avenged by Shang-Chi when he assassinated the gang leader.
