Description[]
Wookiees lived on the forest planet of Kashyyyk and are a group of formidable warriors. It is revealed that they cannot survive the harsh environments on Kessel and that enslaved Wookiees die there. However, Wookiees became Jedi Knights, such as the Wookiee youngling, Gungi.
In the original and sequel trilogy, one of the most notable Wookiees was Chewbacca, the best friend of Han Solo and a veteran in the Galactic Civil War and Galactic Cold War.
In Star Wars Rebels, Wookiees were rescued by Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, Kanan Jarrus, Sabine Wren, Chopper, and Hera Syndulla.
