Windigos are malevolent spirits in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They feed on the fear and anguish of ponykind and can cause endless or eternal winters. However, because of the love that is spread throughout Equestria, the Windigoshave been kept at bay.
They are based on the Wendigos from Algonquian mythology.
