Wheelie is a supporting protagonist of the Generation One era of Hasbro's Transformers franchise.

He is a member of the Autobots and one of the best friends of Daniel Witwicky.

Wheelie is, in terms of humans, a child. He is very close friends with Spike's son, Daniel and protects him from any threat.

Appearance[]

Wheelie is a child Autobot whose primary colors are scarlet red and silver.

in other artwork he is primarily colored yellow and orange with blue accents.

  • Dark Energon: Also known as the Blood of Unicron, dark Energon can corrupt a Cybertronian.
  • Damaged Spark: He is capable of living for centuries, he can still be killed if his spark is damaged. However they can be brought back to life if given a sufficient power of Energon, or revived by the Matrix of Leadership or the AllSpark.
  • Harsh Environments: Despite the Cybertronians being able to adapt to any environment, they will still completely shut down if the weather is too intense like the cold temperatures from the Arctic circle. They will return to normal if brought back to better climate changes.

  • T-Cog Reliance: A T-Cog is a part of Cybertronians' anatomy which allows members of this race to transform into the vehicles of a planet they are visiting. Without it, the Cybertronian can't transorm, are stuck in the mode they are currently in until the T-Cog is inserted back in. Therefore they become more suspectable to attack from either Decepticons or the human enemies.

  • Wheelie also appears in the live-action film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, making it is second cinematic debut after the animated film released in 1986.
  • The design of Wheelie's toy, showcased at Toy Fair 1986, featured a different paint scheme.
    • Although Wheelie did not ultimately reach the market, he utilized those colors in multiple stories.
  • In 2010, when Ron Friedman disposed of some older character models, Wheelie's was in gold.
  • Mona Marshall, Robbie Lee, Charlie Adler, and Jennifer Darling all auditioned for the role of Wheelie.
  • Wheelie appeared in commercials and the television show, with Frank Welker providing both of his voices, although His lines in the commercials were delivered in a lower pitch, resulting in a performance reminiscent of Peewee from The Smurfs.
  • In the Italian dub of the cartoon, Wheelie's speech is noticeably different. His rhyming dialogue is entirely omitted; instead, he randomly exclaims "wroom wroom."
  • Since creating new models would have been more challenging, his model was utilized in Transformers: Armada. Although his color scheme was not fixed, a notable instance was the character named Endo in the retcon.
  • For All Hail Megatron, Wheelie underwent a redesign by Guido Guidi. However, since he was stranded on a comet, there was no possibility for him to appear in the comic.
  • Revenge of the Fallen Slap Dash appears to adopt Wheelie's color scheme.
  • According to a crossword clue found in The AllSpark Almanac II, Wheelie's parents' residence was none other than the planet Gobotron.
  • Earth Wars announced that he would soon be joining the game as an April Fools' joke.
