The Wampa are a yeti-like alien race in the Star Wars universe. They live on the icy planet Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance temporarily hid during the Age of the Empire.

While on patrol, Luke Skywalker encountered one that killed his Tauntaun took him captive back to his cave. However, Luke managed to escape after he disarmed it by cutting off her arm with his lightsaber.
Star Wars: Forces of Destiny[]
Wampas attack Echo Base, but thanks to the interventions of Leia Organa and Chewbacca, their incoming attack never happens.
