~ Viserys Targaryen
Viserys Targaryen is a supporting antagonist in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and the television series adaptation, Game of Thrones. He was one of the Princes of Dragonstone, son of Rhaella and Aerys II Targaryen, the brother of and Daenerys Targaryen and, in the series, the paternal uncle of Jon Snow.
He was also known, to his own mind, the Beggar King and Viserys of the House Targaryen, the Third of his Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.
At Vaes Dothrak, a drunk Viserys insisted Drogo give him his crown like he promised. However, Drogo retorted that Viserys was not a king. Angered Viserys grabbed his sword, which was not allowed— in Vaes Dothrak, a sacred city forbidden to shed a free man's blood there—and threatened Daenerys's unborn child. Drogo decided to give Viserys his crown by Drogo melting his belt of golden medallions and pours the pto over Viserys’ head, fatally killing him. However, he begged Daenerys to have his life spared; However, she is indifferent and wonders that Viserys was no dragon because fire can't kill a dragon.
She later names one of her dragons, Viserion, after him in his memory, though only for keeping her alive for years.
