Sir Valiant is a minor antagonist in the first season of Merlin, being the main antagonist of the second episode "Valiant." With a magic shield, he is a Knight from another kingdom who enters a contest of champions to see who is the best warrior in all the Five Kingdoms.
History[]
Valiant uses a shield enchanted with dark magic to make his snakes on it come to life. However he later exposed when Merlin summoned the snakes. He was defeated and killed by Arthur in combat, with assistance from Morgana, who threw him a sword nearby.
Trivia[]
Valiant's name is slightly ironic because the character doesn't have that virtue, cheated and killed the other contestants without remorse.
