Valerie Gray is an antagonist turned anti-heroine in Danny Phantom and will appear in the comic book sequel, Danny Phantom: A Stitch in Time (released 16 years after the series finale). She is one of the two best friends of Star, formerly friends with Kwan, Paulina Sanchez and Dash Baxter, The daughter of Damon Gray and the ex-girlfriend of Danny Fenton.
She hunts ghosts, formerly Danny Phantom, and as the show goes on, is trying to protect Amity Park rather out of vengeance.
Ironically, Valerie develops a romantic interest in Danny Fenton, Phantom's human alter ego, unaware that they are one and the same until the series finale.
In Flirting with Disaster, she briefly dated Danny and receives a technical update to her ghost hunter suit because of Technus. However, believing her ghost hunting will put Danny in danger, Valerie breaks up with him

Valerie will reappear in the upcoming graphic novel, helping Team Phantom defeat Dark Dan Phantom, who was released from his Fenton thermos by Vlad Masters.
If the Spider-Man and Danny Phantom characteristics are to be taken into account, Valerie could be based off of Gwen Stacy. Both of them love Danny and Peter but despised their alternate seemed with that realizing they were the same (aka Spider-Man and Danny).
