Tyson is one of the main characters of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson book series and The Heroes of Olympus book series, first appearing as the deuteragonist of The Sea of Monsters. He is the current general of the Cyclopes army. He is the half-brother of Percy Jackson, a son of Poseidon and a Cyclops. Tyson is currently in a relationship with Ella.
Due to cyclopees aging faster than humans and demigods, Tyson still has a childlike personality. He called the hippocampus and Chiron "ponies" and referred to bird monsters as birdies. He is called a monster, which hurts his feelings. However, Tyson cares about his friends and family, mainly his brother, Percy and his girlfriend, Ella.
