Ty Lee is a supporting character of Netflix's adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is the best friend of Princess Azula and Mai.

History

Ty Lee was born in the Fire Nation as the youngest of six sisters. At some point, she developed a close friendship with Mai and Azula, and her interactions with Mai suggested a certain connection to Zuko.

Personality

Ty Lee exhibits a cheerful, spirited, and lively demeanor, characterized by a greater sense of optimism compared to her closest companions, Mai and Azula. While Ty Lee's energy is palpable, Azula tends to be more strategic in her approach, and Mai displays a more cynical and reserved attitude than her friends. However, both Mai and Ty Lee are best friends of Azula and help support her. Compared to their animated counterparts they seem to be genuinely loyal to Azula rather than out of fear. Azula likely highly thinks of them, as they are barely ever away from their side.

Unlike most Fire Nation citizens, Ty Lee prefers to wear the color pink. It makes her stand out because her colleagues typically wear black or deep red.
