Keith "Two-Bit" Mathews is one of the main protagonists of the 1967 novel The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton. He also appears as one of the main characters in the 1983 film adaptation and the 1990 television series that followed.
He is one of the best friends of Ponyboy Curtis and a member of the Curtis gang in the Greasers. According to Pony, Two-Bit is attracted to blondes, but doesn't have long relationships with his girlfriends like Steve and initially Sodapop do. He lives at home with a single working mother and an unnamed younger sister due to his father leaving them when he was young.
