Tucker Foley is the tritagonist of Nickelodeon's Danny Phantom. He is Danny and Sam's best friend who has an affinity with technology. He is one of the founding members of the Team, serving as their tech expert, using his PDA, and later, smartphone.
At the end of the series, he is the mayor of Amity Park following Vlad Plasmius' self-imposed exile into the unknown regions of space and fights ghosts ten years later with his friends.
History[]
Tucker was born in 1991 to his parents, Angela and Maurice and grew up in Amity Park, somewhere in the mid-west. Despite the Fentons reputation for being eccentric and fanatic Ghost hunters, Tucker became best friends with their son Danny, since "forever." It is unknown if he became friends with Danny first or Sam, who they became best friends with in at least the second grade. The boys remained unaware of Sam coming from a rich family because she kept her wealth a secret from others at school. At a young age he developed a liking for a technology and was often bullied by Dash Baxter and his best friend Kwan for it.
Personality[]
Tucker is the "technological geek" of the television series' main trio. He relies on tech and gadgetry, mainly his PDA or inventions of his own design. He can also be a womanizer, often flirting with girls. However, Tucker cares more of the beauty of technology rather than a girl's feelings, considering it to be his one and only truest love. Additionally, Tucker is a valuable ally and a good friend to both Sam Manson and Danny Fenton. However, he once yelled at them both for not listening to him. He once grew jealous of Danny's powers and comes to odds on both Sam and Danny's sister Jasmine. At the end of the day, he still remains friends with them after they each acknowledge their own mistakes in an argument.
Tucker is also a lover of meat, as he can sense it when it is near. Tucker is so enthusiastic about meat that he caused an anti-vegan rally to protest the school's ban on meat due to Sam's influences on the school's lunch menus. He also doesn't appreciate people calling him and Sam Danny's sidekicks. Both Sam and Tucker were angry that they were being treated like one when they continued to take the blame for Danny's ghost fighting incidents. However, at the end, Danny, Sam and Tucker treat each other as equals.
It is also suggested that whenever Tucker is given power or a position, he has a more vitriolic and colder towards his own friends and family. It suggests that Tucker has game darker side to him. When he was given ghost powers by Desiree, he let the power go to his head and nearly caused him to kill Danny and endanger innocent people. His personality is almost similar to Vlad Masters (who was also the best friend of Danny's father Jack); except Tucker knows his limits and knows when to acknowledge his own mistakes.

Tucker is fourteen-years-old with a slim build and in between Danny and Sam's height. He has short black hair, teal eyes, and dark skin. Tucker wears a red beret on his head, accompanied by a yellow, long-sleeved shirt, and olive-green jeans with brown boots. Tucker always wears his backpack on his back no matter where he goes because they hold his PDA and other electronic devices. He also wears black glasses that he is rarely seen without.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Genius Level Intellect: Tucker is one of the most intelligent people in the Danny Phantom franchise. He uses his intellect and love of technology to solve the problems. Tucker is able to hack into anything, develop inventions and dabble in programming. He is also able to analyze a situation and define the problem. Most of his high-level intellect are the result of him being hooked onto the information helmets at school after being stuck to the programming for twelve hours when Danny and Sam forgot about him.
- Multilingualism: Due to 'being a nerd," as he puts it, Tucker can speak both English and some Esperanto, which he claims what nerds use to communicate with each other. He used it to communicate with Wulf, but couldn't understand him when Tucker asked what Walker was planning.
- Inventing Skills: Tucker is able to invent several inventions to aid Danny in his ghost-hunting career. He invented the Tucker Foley alibi-o-matic.
- Programming Skills: Tucker was able to reprogram devices, such as the Fenton ghost shields to stop ghosts from escaping. He had programmed some of his inventions rather well.
- Hacking Skills: Tucker is able to hack into computers, advanced security systems and other technology easily with his PDA. He was also able to hack into Skulker's ghost exoskeleton that forced him to go wherever the PDA told him to go.
- Weaponry:
- Fenton Weaponry Mastery: With experience of ghost hunting, Tucker has ease using the Fenton Inventions, along with his friends and Jack and Maddie Fenton.
- Archery Skills: Tucker used his PDAs as weapons when firing them through a bow, showing mad archery skills in the episode "Beauty Marked." He easily knocked out the Archer Ghost the first time and used the second PDA by making it hit a statue above Danny and the Executioner Ghost, who was unfortunately in the line of fire and hit by the statue.
- Meat Sense: Tucker has a sharp sense of smell for meat-based foods. This was seen in Mystery Meat, where he smelled Danny and could tell he had Sloppy Jos the night before and smelled the scent of meat from Mr. Lancer, who immediately denied it. He could later smell the meat hidden in the school, which led them to Sam.
- Political Power: Being the current mayor of Amity Park, Tucker has executive power over his hometown. He will use these skills to presumably fix all the messes Vlad Masters made when he was mayor.

Relationships[]
Maurice and Angela Foley (Parents)[]
Tucker's relationship with his parents is not explored as much as Sam with Jeremy and Pamela or Danny's own relationship with Jack and Maddie. However, Tucker gets along with Maurice and Angela, and loves them. It is shown in "Reality Trip" that Maurice tried to stop the Fentons and the Mansons from fighting each other. This implies, unlike Pamela and Jeremy, Maurice and Angela do not mind that Tucker is friends with Danny nor do they have a problem with the Fentons. In "Forever Phantom," it is shown that Tucker loves his mother's cooking, especially when she makes meatloaf. A shapeshifting ghost pretended to be Tucker and did horrible things to Mr Tucker's wife and son, by eating the entire Meatloaf and dumping it on Angela's head. This agitated both Tucker and Angela. When the real Maurice showed up, both mother and son mistook him as the person who dumped food on Angela. Both mother and son chased Maurice down the street, somewhat straining Tucker's relationship with his father.

Danny Fenton (Best Friend)[]
Danny and Tucker have been best friends since their early childhood. In some ways Danny’s friendship with Tucker is even greater than the one he has with Sam, since the two often have the same interests, except Tucker’s liking of technology, and crushes. The two often get along and enjoy each other’s company. Tucker was the only other person (besides Sam) that Danny trusted to keep his secret about his powers. Tucker would go on to join Danny’s ghost fighting team, Team Phantom, working together to protect Amity Park from evil ghosts. D
anny values Tucker’s technological skills, considering him an invaluable member of the team and often relying on his skills for aid in the field, especially against Technus. Despite this, their friendship is not perfect. Danny can often be annoyed by Tucker’s antics and technological interests. Tucker also harbors a secret jealousy of Danny’s powers and fame, which has caused him to become susceptible to the machinations of evil ghosts twice (Desiree and Hotep Ra). Additionally, Danny has intentionally booked both Kwan and Dash when Tucker made fun of him when Jazz accidentally sucked Danny into the Fenton Thermos, which only resulted in tucker being stuffed into a locker to get his point across that being trapped in confined. Despite this, they do manage to always reconcile and beat the odds. In the ten years since Danny obtained his powers, they have remained best friends, and Tucker continues to fight alongside him as a member of Team Phantom.
Sam Manson (Best Friend)[]

Sam is one of Tucker's two best friends and both are supporters of Danny Fenton, being the only ones who know his secret as Danny Phantom and support him. However, Sam does not like it when Tucker is a bad influence on Danny or nearly gets him killed. (Mystery Meat) They were both assigned to being partners in taking care of a child (sack of flour). They both argued on how to "parent" the sack of flour. While Sam took excellent care of the "baby", Tucker was too busy with his babysitting service. Tucker and Sam did kiss once, but it was a spur of the moment. The action was awkward and shocked them both. Instead, Sam and Tucker both agreed not to speak of it again.
Despite considering him an annoyance, she enjoys his company. She later broke up with Gregor because he insulted Tucker, showing she cares more about her friends' feelings.
Valerie Gray (Ex-Crush)[]

Valerie grave was Tucker Foley's real crush. He asked her out to the school dance in the second episode of the series but later, got dumped by her. During Cujo's attacks on Valerie, the girl only pretended to date Tucker because she was trying to get close to Danny's parents, who share her interests in ghost hunting. Tucker lost all interest in her when she began hunting Danny and wanted her to stay away from his best friend. It is shown in "Reign Storm," Tucker disapproved of Danny and Valerie liking each other. He fears Valerie dating Danny because she is the one hunting him down when he is in his ghost half.
However, Tucker may have feelings for her in the future since Danny's secret was revealed and because Valerie was the first girl that Tucker had genuine feelings for before she became a ghost hunter and one of Danny's adversaries.
Jazz Fenton (Good Friend)[]
they may be on the same side but Tucker and Jazz's friendship has its faults.
Despite their limited interactions, Jazz has known Tucker since he was childhood friends with Danny since the second grade. She may see Tucker like another member of the family since their long time knowing each other. At first, Tucker grew annoyed with how she tried integrating within Team Phantom and making changes. For example, he hated how she handled Ghost weaponry and commented she learned fighting skills from her father. However, this is a little harsh because Jazz was just starting out. This also included Jazz calling them his sidekicks rather than his equals.
However, things are not as tense between Tucker and Jazz as they are with the latter and Sam. Gradually, Tucker warms up to her being a member in the team, and work well together when they turned the Earth intangible.
