The relationships of Tsireya in James Cameron's Avatar franchise.

Family[]

Aonung[]

Tsireya is Aonung's younger sister who he loves deeply and hangs out with along with his other friends.

Aonung was born before Tsireya and the two siblings are quite close. She was only disappointed in her brother whenever he was being obnoxious or bullying the Sully children.

Both siblings are also expected to be the best they can be to live up to their parents' expectations, as they are going to be the Metkayina's future leadership. During Neteyam's funeral, Tsireya is seen with Rotxo and Aonung while they cry. Tsireya is comforted by Aonung, who caresses her shoulder.

Ronal[]

Ronal is Tsireya's mother.

Like her mate, Ronal expects the best for Tsireya and Aonung. Tsireya is also expected to succeed her mother as Tsahik, so Ronal teaches her daughter for her to take over. They obviously care for each other despite limited interaction. Later, Tsireya and Tuk helped Ronal take care of Kiri and wake her from her coma. Upon learning that Tsireya and Aonung let Lo'ak bond with Payakan, Ronal scolded her daughter for allowing Lo'ak to do so. Despite her disappointment in her daughter, Ronal was furious when she and Tonowari learned that the RDA had Tsireya hostage, alongside Jake and Neytiri's youngest children, Lo'ak and Tuktirey.

Tonowari[]

Tonowari is Tsireya's father.

Like his wife, Tonowari expects the best from Tsireya and Aonung. In their introductory scene, Tonowari instructs his children to teach Jake and Neytiri's children their way of life so they could help them transition from their life in the rainforest to the one at sea. Reya was more than happy to oblige, becoming especially close with the younger children, Lo'ak and Tuk.

Later, Tsireya is scolded by her father for being unable to keep Lo'ak away from Payakan and letting him bond with him. Unlike Lo'ak, Tsireya is too scared to say something when Lo'ak stands up to her father. Later, when Lo'ak told her the truth about Payakan's past, Tsireya thought their fathers would understand but he refused.

When Tsireya, Lo'ak and Tuktirey were taken hostage by Quaritch's men, Jake informed Tonowari and Ronal that the Recoms had their daughter. This caused Ronal and Tonowari to growl and his that their daughter was in danger. During the Skirmish of the Three Brothers, Neteyam was killed in battle, much to the clan's sorrow.

Love Interest[]

Lo'ak[]

Lo'ak and Tsireya (9)

Lo'ak and his family are forced to leave the Omatikaya clan and hide away with the Metkayina Clan. When the Sully family arrived at the Awa'atlu village seeking refuge, Lo'ak sees Tsireya emerge out of the water. Her father, Tonowari, tasks Tsireya teach the Sully children their way of life. She also taught them to ride the ilu and how to breathe deeply before a dive. However Lo'ak had difficulty controlling his heart rate during practice because of Tsireya's presence. Seeing Lo'ak was struggling the most, Reya have him private lessons on underwater diving. She was also proud of him for being able to cast a fishing net.

Later, Tsireya heard Lo'ak talk about Tulkan who saved him when Aonung abandoned Lo'ak at the Three Brothers to get back at him for punching him in the face while Lo'ak was defending his sister, Kiri. Tsireya realized he was talking about Payakan, an exiled, male tulkun for an alleged murder. However, Lo'ak refused to believe this. When an alarm went off in the clan, Tsireya told the Sully family that the tulkun had returned. Riding on an ilu with Lo'ak, Tsireya later confessed with her spirit sister that she met a boy. Later on, Lo'ak visits the exiled Tulkan and learns that he didn't kill his fellow Tulkans. Tsireya, along with Neteyam, Ao'nung and Rotxo followed Lo'ak and watched as he and Payakan formed a bond. While she was proud of him, Tsireya is scolded by her parents for allowing Lo'ak to bond with an outcast. Tonowari demands everyone to sit down and explained the Tulkun Way and why Payakan was an outcast.

Later, Tsireya told Lo'ak she was proud of him for bonding with Payakan. After watching Payakan's memories, Lo'ak told her the truth. Instead Payakan's mother was killed by RDA poachers and he led his pod and their spiritual Na'vi brothers and sisters into battle. However he was still exiled for causing they're deaths. Despite insisting that it is the Tulkan way, Tsireya things they can try to convince her father, Tonowari. However, Lo'ak insisted that their fathers wouldn't listen to him. He confessed to her how he felt like an outsider for sharing human traits just like his father. Tsireya tells Lo'ak "I see you," meaning she can see him for who he is and that Lo'ak truly is one of the reef people.

During the final battle of the Three Brothers, Tsireya and Lo'ak went to Three Brothers Rocks to find Payakan to warn him about the tulkun assassins. However, they saw that he had a tracking device lodged in him by Mick Scoresby and the poachers.

Even though they freed Payakan from Mick Scoresby' tracking device, Tsireya, Lo'ak and Tuktirey were spotted captured. Quaritch threatened to shoot the children if they attacked and only ordered Jake to surrender. However, Payakan attacked the ship and allowed the three children to escape. Unfortunately, Neteyam was shot while escaping from the deck and Tsireya, Lo'ak, and Spider took him to a rocky island, where Neteyam died of his injuries. Enraged, Jake and Neytiri returned to save their daughters while ordering Loak and Tsireya to stay behind. However, Lo'ak disobey his parents and left Tsireya alone.

They both comforted each other in an embrace and grieve for Neteyam and attend his memorial service at the end of the film.

Rotxo and Tsireya next to each other.

Rotxo and Tsireya are childhood friends. He is usually seen next to her or Aonung. Additionally, unlike Tsireya's brother and his friends, Rotxo and Tsireya are the only reef people who do not make fun of the Sully children for their mixed heritage and actually take pleasure in showing and training them their ways. During their breathing technique training, Rotxo and Neteyam give each other knowing looks when they see Lo'ak and Tsireya bonding, hunting that they are aware of Lo'ak and Tsireya's ever growing crushes on each other. This also shows Rotxo years Tsireya on a family member. However Kiri rolled her eyes, wanting them to be left alone.

During Neteyam's funeral, Rotxo stands next to Tsireya and Aonung with tears in their eyes.

Enemies[]

Miles Quaritch (Recombinant)[]

Quaritch only encountered the daughter of the Metkayina chief and Tsahìk once when he held her and her friends, Lo'ak and Tuktirey hostage. Despite not having a personal vendetta against Tsireya, he still held her as a hostage because she was collateral damage in his eyes. However, despite not targeting Tsireya, he had also no qualms holding the chief's daughter hostage, mainly because of her association with the Sully children. When Tsireya saw Quaritch hurting Lo'ak, Tsireya could be seen struggling and trying to break free from her bonds because.she thought Quaritch was going to genuinely kill Lo'ak .

When she and Tuktirey tried saving Kiri again, Quaritch tossed Tsireya sauce and into the ocean. However, during the struggle, Tsireya tried fighting him off so she could save her friends. These actions showed that Quaritch was not interested in the girl because his revenge was aimed at the Sully sisters.
