Trace Martez is a supporting character in Star Wars The Clone Wars and its sequel series Star Wars The Bad Batch. She is a young human, female pilot from the planet Coruscant, living on the lower levels of the planet during the final days of the Clone Wars and of the Galactic Republic. Along with her sister, Trace met former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, who hid her Jedi heritage from the Martez sisters.

- Trace was created in the place of Nyx Okami, a boy that Ahsoka was going to befriend in Season Seven.
- Trace is suspiciously similar to Kaeden Larte, another young woman Ahsoka befriended after she left the Jedi Order in her solo novel.
- They have no parents and only have a sister they must take care of after they were orphaned.
- They are both friendly and kind girls who have hard working backgrounds and have dark skin, dark hair and eyes.
- Additionally, both Trace and Kaeden are kept in the dark of Ahsoka's past as a Jedi Padawan in an unexpected way (Ahsoka exposed herself as a former Jedi to Kaeden by her seeing Ahsoka using the Force and Trace learned that Ahsoka was a former Jedi from the Pyke Syndicate.)
- Ultimately, both young women accept Ahsoka for who she is and as a friend. However, while Kaeden falls in love with her, Trace instead considers her a friend.
