Toothiana (also known as Tooth or the Tooth Fairy) is one of the main protagonists of the 2012 animated film, Rise of the Guardians. She also acts as Jack Frost's love interest.
In the film, Tooth is voiced by Isla Fisher.
Background
Toothiana is the daughter of Rashmi and Haroom and the older sister of Vanish. Tooth was chosen by the Man in the Moon to help preserve the memories of children who, whenever they lose hope, Tooth and her fairies give them memories that will help them in their darkest time of need.
Tooth also has a crush on Jack Frost, whom she admires for his white teeth that she identifies "white as freshly fallen snow."
Personality
A very responsible woman, Toothiana is very devoted towards her duty as the Guardian of Memories. She always wishes to help children remember the best parts of their lives to help them in their time of need. However, she always gets especially upset when she couldn't help those who neeed their memories. For example, Toothiana hated to see Jack with lost without his memories, showing she takes doesn't like being helpless when she cannot help those in need.
Despite not being "out in the field in 440 years, she still enjoyed taking care of supervising collecting the teeth and letting her fairies collect the teeth. However, her love for looking at the children up close while with Jack and the other Guardians returns.
Tooth is also very close with her loved ones. She has also shown to be a romantic, as she had a large crush on Jack, mainly on his teeth. She also was very sadden when Sandy was temporarily killed. However, the only terrible aspect of Tooth was that she like the rest of the Guardians, assumed the worst of Jack when it appeared he betrayed them for collecting his teeth for himself and trading it with Baby Tooth. However, they quickly forgive Jack, for their feelings clouded their judgement.
She is a very motherly figure. who is very protective on her Mini-Fairies and her friends and family. For example, she threatened Pitch Black if he didn't return her fairies to her. At the very end, Toothiana gives him a punch in the face. She is very sweet and bubbly in nature towards her friends and family.
Powers
- Winged Flight - Tooth has the ability to freely fly (wings), as well as hover in place without tiring out. However, when the amount of belief in the world is weakened, so is Tooth's ability to fly. When Jamie Bennett is the last believer in the world, Tooth is unable to fly at all and falls out of North's sleigh even trying. Its not until she gains more believers in the form of Jamie's friends that she can fly again.
- Wing Blades - Tooth's wings are razor sharp and were used as blades to destroy Pitch's nightmares as she twisted herself like a tornado.
- Enhanced Agility: Tooth possesses incredible agility when flying able to twisted herself like a tornado when flying the Nightmares.
- Omnilingualism - Tooth is also able to speak every language and communicate with many different beings.
- Telepathy - Tooth can communicate with others via telepathy, much like she does with her Mini-Fairies when giving out orders when not at home.
- Intangibility - Tooth can phase through solid objects, which is how she can collect teeth when the window of the child’s room is closed, though she can’t phase others with her. This is shown as her Mini-Fairies are returning Pippa to her room, as her fairies are extensions of herself, and therefore anything that they can do she can to, and vice versa.
- Immortality - Like her fellow Guardians, Tooth is immortal and untouchable to anything that happens in time. Though her physical age would probably be hundreds/thousands of years old, her visible age is apparently fifteen-seventeen.
