Garth is a fictional character in the Aquaman comic books and the Teen Titans franchise and a major character in the DC Universe. He is notable for being the first Aqualad , the foster son and protégé of Arthur Curry/Aquaman. After outgrowing the title like Dick Grayson grew out of being Robin, Garth changed his alias to Tempest . He became friends with Robin, Kid Flash, Speedy and Wonder Girl, going on to become one of the founding members of the Teen Titans together.
