Ted the Polar Bear is the overarching protagonist of the Madagascar short, The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper. He is a lonely polar bear who has no one to celebrate the holidays with. Private and the Penguins invite Ted over to their habitat so he isn't alone
Ted is happy and invites the entire Zoo over, where the group sing a carol together.

In The Penguins of Madagascar series, Ted was mentioned in "Cute-Astrophe" and seen in "The Most Dangerous Game Night", where Marlene said that Ted hadn't talked since A Christmas Caper. Ted was also seen in P.E.L.T. when Skipper had to provoke and evade a polar predator.
