Team Avatar is the main protagonist faction from the Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. They are the first-generation of team Avatar led by Avatar Aang and founded by him, Sokka and Katara during his journey to master the four elements and end the Hundred Year War, and during the Harmony Restoration Movement. It was originally composed of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Appa. Momo, Toph, Zuko, and Suki joined the group later and all became important members. The team's constituency varied little throughout Aang's journey across the world, until the invasion of the Fire Nation, when a much larger number of people began to join and leave the group.
