Princess Tamika is a minor character in the 2023 remake of the 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid. In the remake, she is meant to replace Aquata, the fourth-born daughter of Triton and Athena from the original film, making her the middle sister.
She is one of Ariel's sisters who also appears in the novelization, The Little Mermaid: Guide to Merfolk, and The Little Mermaid: Against the Tide.
Background[]
Princess Tamika is the ruler of the Fracus Sea and the fourth daughter of King Triton. She is the toughest and most tactical of her sisters and "rules with an iron fin." Her waters are brim with sunlit and filled with vibrant fish and coral. However, Tamika does wrestle tiger sharks into submission. She rules with grace and admiral strength.
In the prequel novel it is revealed that Tamika is the most distant from Ariel because she's still grieves for the loss of their mother.
