Talia Hale is a posthumous character in Teen Wolf and the overarching protagonist of Teen Wolf's Season 3. She was the Alpha of the Hale Pack, the older sister of Peter Hale, and the mother of Derek, Laura, and Cora Hale and the paternal grandmother of Eli Hale. She was later succeeded by Laura Hale as the Hale pack
She was killed in the Hale house fire set up by young Kate Argent after she betrayed Derek. Despite her death, Talia's family motto of protecting Beacon Hills from any threat was carried on by her son Derek and his protege Scott McCall, whose pack succeeded the Hales as Beacon Hills' protector and his fellow werewolves from the McCall Pack.

- Werewolf Physiology: Talia was an Evolved Alpha Werewolf, which made her much more powerful than most Werewolves and superior to even regular Alphas.
- Shapeshifting: Being from an ancient bloodline of werewolves, Talia was able to shift between a werewolf and a human. As an evolved Werewolf, Talia was so powerful she was able to shapeshift into an actual wolf. Turning into an animal form was a trait is something she shared with her daughter, Laura, her son Derek, and her niece Malia.

Years earlier, Talia made Peter forget about his romantic relationship with Corinne and his infant daughter. Later, Talia made both Peter and Derek forget about the location of the Nemeton.
