Sunset Shimmer is a supporting character in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is the main antagonist turned protagonist of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.
In all media forms, Sunset is voiced by Rebecca Shoichet, who is also the singing voice of Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset used to be a unicorn in Equestria and a student of Princess Celestia. However, not getting things what she wanted, Sunset began following a different path and was no longer Celestia's student. She began living in the human world, a human world version of Equestria.
