Suki is a major protagonist in the Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. She resides on Kyoshi Island, home of the legendary Avatar Kyoshi as well leader of her own group called the Kyoshi warriors (who are based on the legendary Avatar Kyoshi).

Differences from the source material[]
- As opposed to being fourteen, Suki appears to be sixteen
- When Suki and her Kyoshi Warriors capture Aang, Sokka and Katara catch them trespassing on sacred ground and heading to Kyoshi's altar. In the original series, The girls catch Katara, Sokka and Aang after Aang surfs an elephant koi fish. They also immediately reveal their identities to them after instead of initiating a sneak attack.
- Due to this, the koi and the Unagi are ommitted from the series.
- Suki and Sokka argue about being a true warrior over Sokka's sexism.
- In the new series, the mayor of Suki's village is gender -flipped. As such, Suki and the Mayor of her village are mother and daughter.
- Suki's debut episode mostly expands on her and Sokka's growing relationship more. Also she never forces him to wear a dress or their makeup.
- On a related note, Suki takes off her makeup when she talks to Sokka before giving him warrior lessons. In the original cartoon he doesn't see her without her makeup until Season 2.
- Suki kissed Sokka as he was leaving after the Firebender attack, not before. Also since Zhao takes over Zuko's role leading an invasion, Suki doesn't seem to meet Zuko yet until the Boiling Rock and no fight ensues between Zuko and Aang. Instead zuco fights Katara and his fight with Aang doesn't take place in Omashu. Afterwards, Suki gives Sokka one of her fans
- Suki defends Aang, Katara and Sokka and convinced her mother to let them stay on the island for 24 hours. In the original series, Suki snaps at Sokka and even threatens to feed him to the Unagi.
