Ororo Munroe is a fictional heroine within Marvel Comics. She is a descendant of a long-line of African Witch Priestess and the daughter of a tribal princess of Kenya and African-American photojournalist. She becomes the heroine Storm, who is a member of a subspecies of human known as the Mutants. Storm is the ex-wife of T'Challa/Black Panther and the best friend of fellow X-Men member Jean Grey.

She was created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, first appearing in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975)
