Stephanie "Steph" Brown (Also known as the Spoiler, Robin and Batgirl) is a character in the DC Comics. She appears as one of the five tritagonists of the Batman franchise (alongside Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon and Cassandra Cain), a major character in Young Justice series, and one of the main protagonists of the Batgirls comic (alongside Barbara Gordon and Cassandra Cain).
She is the superhero known as Spoiler, the daughter of the Batman criminal Cluemaster who foils her father's plans by leaving clues for Batman and Robin to unravel so they catch her father. She is the best friend of Kara Danvers and Cassandra Cain, the ex-girlfriend of Tim Drake and one of the proteges of Batman and later, Barbara Gordon.

Stephanie Brown was born in Gotham City to Crystal and Arthur Brown. She was aware of her father's criminal activities, but not his status as Batman's enemy, Cluemaster. When he spent most of his daughter's childhood in prison, Arthur returned to his family, claiming that he was rehabilitated. However, Stephanie later discovered he lied to her and his status as CluemasterStephanie made her own costume and became the vigilante known as the Spoiler, naming herself to spoil her father's crime. She would leave clues of Arthur's plans and whereabouts for Batman, Robin, and the Gotham City Police Department. Eventually liking the idea of being a superhero, she often comes across both Batman and Robin (Tim Drake). When she goes on recon missions on her own, she would sometimes partner with Robin or Tim Drake, without knowing his identity.
Bruce tries to get Stephanie to quit, and the Birds of Prey to stop mentoring her, but this only furthers Stephanie's need to fight. Later on, Barbara, in a fit of jealousy, tries to prevent her from taking over as Batgirl when Cassandra quit, even threatening to tell her mother. However, after seeing her fight, Barbara decided to mentor her, with Stephanie and her becoming close friends.
Kara and Stephanie struck up an easy friendship after they met when Supergirl rescued the young hero and Catwoman from a watery grave at the behest of Oracle.
Stephanie has an on-off relationship with Tim Drake. Despite their hardships, Tim and Stephanie both come back to each other.
