Spirit is the titular main protagonist of the DreamWorks animated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. He is a horse from the wild side of America's plains who is captured by the U. S. Army and struggles to find his way back home. Befriending the Native American boy Little Creek, he falls in love with the horse, Rain. No matter who tries to tame him, his spirit is never broken, which is how he gained his name.
