“Hope you were watching, Uncle Ben. 'Cause I did that for you. Kept everyone safe. Kept them from being scared. And I made it fun. It doesn't matter that most of 'em wouldn't have lifted a finger for Peter Parker. That's not why you do it. You do it 'cause it's the right thing to do. Because it's what you would've done. You were more than a father to me, Ben Parker. More than a role model... You were my hero. Now it's my turn. Because from now on, I'm going to be yours! You'll see. I'm going to give it my all! We'll have fun! I'll never quit--and it's going to be amazing!”

Personality
“Whether a law is right or wrong, moral or immoral, is an idea, a personal philosophy... but it always seems that fights over ideas skip over the barrier into the real world and become battles of real violence.”
―Peter Parker
Before his powers, Peter was nerdy, awkward and antisocial and often the target for Flash Thompson's bullying. The worst thing is he didn't have any friends until he reached high school. At fifteen, he was bitten by a radioactive spider and changed significantly after becoming Spider-Man. At first reckless with his powers, Peter learned to be more responsible after his uncle was shot and killed by a robber. Despite most of his heroics, his reputation was destroyed by Jonah Jameson for being a menace.
He also makes quips at his enemies, and giving them embarrassing nicknames. However, the night Gwen Stacy was killed by the Green Goblin changed Peter's perspective as he lost the first woman he ever loved. Peter also deeply hates symbiotes, especially to Venom & Carnage.
Deadpool is one of Spider-Man's best friend in the comics despite getting on each other's nerves. Peter disapproves of Wade's methods as a vigilante such as unintentionally harming an innocent. It is also implied Wade may have a romantic attraction to Peter but they never advance past a friendship.

Unfortunately Peter and Felicia's relationship wasn't meant to be because during The Superior Spider-Man story arc it fell through mostly because Dr Octopus switched bodies with Peter Parker and pretended to be Spider-Man. Because "Peter" was acting as an entirely different person, when Parker was returned to his original body, Felicia was drawn away from him and fell back into a life of crime. “On behalf of the people of Skymkaria, please accept this reward.”
―Silver Sable before she kisses Spider-Man
Silver Sable is one of the girls that Peter Parker has found both a friend and an enemy in. However, they are more on the line of friends. They first met in Amazing Spider-Man #265 when Peter foiled the Black Fox's reign of terror, but Silver was less-concerned with Spider-Man's antics and activities as a vigilante. Because of their different views on justice, Peter and Silver often clash with each other, mostly due to her being a mercenary and Peter being a vigilante. They come together when facing a common enemy, holding a level of professionalism when they were teaming up. This was evident when both came together to fighting off Doctor Octopus.
She later revealed in Amazing Spider-Man #679 that she had developed romantic feelings for Spider-Man. She pulled his mask up and kissing Peter on the lips in front of Jonah Jameson and an entire crew.
