Sonya (born Elizabeth; nicknamed Lizzy) is a character in The Maze Runner book series and film adaptations of the same name. She is Newt's sister and they were both orphaned when their parents were killed by WICKED after refusing to hand their children over to them.
She was one of the survivors of the deadly disease known as the Flare and second in command of the Group B.
Sonia is portrayed by Katherine McNamara, who also portrayed Mia Queen/Green Arrow II and Clary Fairchild.
