The Sons of the First Spinjitzu Master are major characters in the Ninjago franchise. They are the titles referring to Garmadon and Wu, the two children of Ninjago's creator, First Spinjitzu Master.
History[]
Background[]
The First Spinjitzu Master knew he couldn't live forever. So, hecreated his two sons in order to maintain balance. His eldest, Garmadon, inherited his father's Oni heritage and elemental powers of destruction. His youngest son, Wu, inherited their father's dragon heritage and power of creation.
After the First Spinjitzu Master's death, he ensured the safety of Ninjago and the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu to Garmadon and Wu. The brothers had many adventures together and, despite Garmadon being bitten by the Great Devourer, he was able to keep the darkness at bay for some time. The two fought Side by side during the first Serpentine War and the Elemental Alliance. Forty years after, Garmadon finally succumbed to the Great Devourer's poisoning shortly after his son Lloyd was born. Wu was forced to banish his brother to the Underworld. However, Wu and Garmadon were forced to work together again in order to save Lloyd from the Serpentine and stop the Great Devourer.
Season 2[]
During the final battle between good and evil, Lloyd defeated the Overlord and purified his father of the Great Devourer. Wu and Garmadon were happy reunited with one another shortly afterward, temporarily restoring their relationship.

Garmadon revealed to Lloyd that he had secretly sabotaged Misako and Wu's relationship by signing a love letter Wu wrote to her. Misako fell in love with Garmadon and eventually married them. However, while he hated that he hurt Wu, Garmadon had no regrets because of her hadn't done it then Lloyd never would've been born.
The brothers were separated once more when Garmadon took the place of the Anacondrai Warriors he and Wu cursed in the Curse Realm in a successful effort to stop Chen and his cultists. Lloyd cursed his father with the book of Master Chen's spells.

Wu revealed to Jay, Kai and Zane that when he and his brother were children, Wu and Garmadon almost started a war by Wu convincing Garmadon to break into Serpentine lands despite their father's allowance with King Mamba.
The king has them imprisoned in the dungeons for the nights. However, a witch, Aspheera freed the brothers in the promise that they would teach her Spinjitzu. Garmadon had no
