Sonic the Hedgehog is the titular main protagonist of the video game series of the same name and its spin-offs. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog from the planet Mobius and can run at incredible speeds. He is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his friends and Earth from evil and dangerous threats. His main arch-enemy is Dr. Eggman, who wants to use sonics powers for his own benefit. Sonic is the leader of his own team, Amy Rose's love interest (boyfriend in her mind) and mainly hangs out with Miles Prower and Knuckles the Echidna.
Since his release, Sonic has become an iconic figure in video games with his rival in the gaming industry used to be Mario, but now they are seen as friendly competitors ever since Sega became third party and started releasing Sonic games for Nintendo systems. Mario and Sonic even have their very own crossover where they compete in the Olympic Games.
Most of Sonic's backstory is unknown; however some adaptations reveal it. He was born on Christmas Island but had no parents. He found himself in conflict with his event Dr. Eggman.
Personality
Appearance
In the video games, Sonic is a Mobian Hedgehog who is fifteen years old. He is predominantly blue, with a peach underbelly, arms, inner ears and muzzle. He wears white gloves, and socks as well as red shoes with white stripes. In some adaptations like Sonic Boom and Sonic the Hedgehog film series, his arms are blue instead. He is approximately 3'0" and comes up to a human's torso and has several quills on his head and upper back.
