Sokka is the tritagonist of the 2010 fantasy film 2010 movie The Last Airbender, based on Book 1 of the cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. He is Katara's older brother and a member of Team Avatar.
He is portrayed by Jackson Rathbone who also portrayed Jasper Hale from The Twilight Saga.

Sokka was the oldest son of Kya and Hakoda and the older brother of Katara. His mother was killed in a Fire Nation raid and his father went to fight in the war. He and his sister Katara were raised by their grandmother, Kanna AKA Gran-Gran.

One of the things that differentiates film and cartoon versions of Sokka the fact this version has no sense of humor. Additionally this version's name is pronounced as "Soak-a" instead of "So-kuh."
