The Smallville Youth Center was a location featured in the sixteenth episode of the third season of Smallville, "Crisis." In wake of his parents' file for divorce and the need to impress girls, Pete Ross occasionally volunteered there to help others on the Teen Crisis Hotline and he convinced Clark Kent to join.
History[]
On that fateful night, Clark got an incoming call from a panicking Lana Lang, as she warned him about "it" happening. As Clark tries to get her to calm down, he hears a gun go off and hit Lana. Alarmed, Clark tells Pete to call 911. He rushes to the Talon and, to his confusion, Lana is alright and simply relaxing with Chloe at the Talon.
The friends were able to realize that the call came from the future and they used clues to realize that Adam Knight was trying to kill her. The friends work to prevent it; however, Lana ends up being abducted by Adam after threatening to kill both Chloe and Jonathan. The "future" becomes the present", as Lana calls the teen crisis hotline. Clark, now aware of what is happening goes to the Youth Center and picks up the phone. However, her call keeps getting cut off due to the telephone pole being struck by lightning and its wires transmitting her call in and out of the past due to the kryptonite-filled puddle. Clark figures it out and goes to remove the pole from the puddle. Finally, Lana's call comes through and Clark manages to shield Lana from the bullet.
Workers[]
- Clark Kent - volunteered to cover for Lana Lang; got a call from Lana from the future because a telephone poll was in a puddle filled with kryptonite and transmitted to past Clark instead of present day Clark.
- Lana Lang - volunteer; usually did so but had Clark cover for her to study for Mr. Jensen's exam.
- Pete Ross - volunteered most of the time there, but especially came here more often after his parents are going through a divorce and to impress a woman.
