Shax is a supporting antagonist of the WB television series, Charmed. He is a wind demon and the personal assassin of the Source of All Evil and the only demon known to ever permanently kill a Charmed One, Prue Halliwell.
He was vanquished in 2001 by Prue's younger sisters, Piper, Phoebe, and newly discovered Paige Matthews with the Power Of Three Spell, thus avenging their eldest sister.

Cole used his newly granted Avatar powers to warp reality and create a timeline where Piper and Phoebe never met Paige. He blamed the youngest Halliwell sister for "ruining" his marriage to Phoebe and was desperate to get her back.
In this timeline, Paige was killed by the Source before the Charmed Ones were reconstituted. A vengeful Piper dedicated herself into hunting down Shax and the only reason Cole never went after her is because Phoebe would have left him if he did. However this timeline was erased when Paige vanquished Cole with the original vanquishing potion, this time killing him for good.
