Katherine "Kitty" Pryde, also known as Shadowcat, is a fictional sueprheroine within Marvel Comics. She is a major character in the X-Men series. At first arrogant and quick to anger, Kitty matures into a capable fighter and warrior. She becomes a vigilante and member of the X-Men in a world unaccepting of their kind, the Mutants. She used to be known as the vigilante Shadowcat for years before changing it to Red Queen.
