The Shadow Stuff is a powerful weapon created by Morgana Le Fay and later used by Claire Nunez. It ca be triggered by emotions
it channels the power of Shadow Magic, especially Claire's magic. However, Claire ordered Toby to destroy it with his Warhammer in order to tap Morgana in the shadow round forever. After learning magic herself, Claire no longer needs a staff to channel her spells. However, it was later restored by the Arcane Order to bring Morgana out of the Shadow Realm and return her to the human world.
