Salazar Slytherin's Basilisk it's the secondary antagonist of the novel Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and its 2002 film adaptation. It is a creature of dark magic that was hidden by Slytherin in hopes his heir would return to the school and rid it of Muggle-Borns.

History

The basilsk was killed by Harry Potter with the sword of Gryffindor.
