Sentinel Prime is a major character in the Transformers franchise. He is normally depicted as a hero and protagonist of the series. However, in the live action remake series, he is the main antagonist of the third film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He mentored Optimus Prime and was the leader of the Autobots before his successor and protégé.

Some adaptations depict Sentinel Prime in a negative light like Transformers: Dark of the Moon (the third installment of the live-action remake) and Transformers One.
