Scraptor is a species of Trux that appeared in Dinotrux and Dinotrux: Supercharged.
Biology[]
Physical Appearance[]
Scraptors are bipedal creatures that walk on two treaded feet. They have elongated heads with grooved jaws, luminous eyes, and lengthy torsos equipped with two extendable grabbing claws. Their coloration varies among individuals; for example, one Scraptor may be entirely black with blue eyes, while another could be desert-tan with yellow eyes.
Behavior[]
Scraptors are utilized for gathering our sustenance from scrap metal sourced from other Dinotrux. The Scraptors possess the ability to communicate using a distinctive language characterized by high-pitched electronic screeches. They inhabit nest-like hives constructed from leftover scrap and refrain from searching for scrap after sunset. This diurnal behavior is attributed to their fear of darkness and can be easily scared of powerful creatures like Dreadtrux. They safeguard their eggs and young from potential threats.
In the event that a single Scraptor becomes separated from its group, it will emit calls to alert any nearby members of its species, similar to how a wolf signals its packmates.
Subspecies[]
- Desert Scraptors: Scraptors that live in the desert like territories.
- Arctic Scraptors
Trivia[]
- They are among the only Dinotrux that cannot speak like others. (Scrapadactyls, Dyscrapadons, Dreadtrux, Rollodons (as the only thing they say is "Roll"), Aquadons, Shredadons, and Poundersaurolophus)
- Scraptors are more based on Deinonychus, rather than the accurate real world Velociraptor. They also resemble Utahraptor.
- They're a play on word "scrap" (referring to their ability to scrap other Dinotrux) and "raptor" (like Velociraptor, Utahraptor, etc.
