Trivia
Scar is the first Disney villain to be biologically related to the main character, followed by Hades from Hercules. Chronically both of them are the uncles of the main character of their respective films, Hercules and The Lion King.
Lady Tremaine and The evil Queen do not count because they are related to the main heroines, Snow White and Cinderella by marriage.
Scar is based off of King Claudius from William Shakespeare tragedy play, Hamlet because they are both the younger brother of the previous king who they killed and are the arch enemies of their nephews Hamlet and Simba.
in his youth Simba used to call his uncle "Uncle Scar" but by the time he is an adult, he doesn't address his uncle like that, likely due to Simba being disgusted by how his uncle ran Pride Lands into the ground and because Scar killed his father when he was young.
