Sandman (real name William Baker, better known as Flint Marko) is a major antagonist in the Spider-Man franchise. He is a human mutate with the power to turn himself into a being made of sand. However, his weakness is fire, which turns him to glass and how Spider-Man defeats Sandman most of the time.

He gained powers via a freak radioactive explosion accident.
