Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories (S.T.A.R. Labs) is a fictional research and science facility within DC Comics. It first appeared in Superman #246 (December 1971) and was created by Cary Bates and Rich Buckler. It provides medical treatment to superheroes. This happened with Cyborg, whose father had given him robotic replacements from S.T.A.R. Labs.
