Royal Family is the ruling family of the kingdom of Merlopia and the rulers of the Endless Sea.

History

War with Wojira

The royal family had dealings with the First Spinjitzu Master, and allied with him and Nyad, the first Elemental Master of Water. However, the First Spinjitzu Master, Nyad and the Merlopian King's forces could not defeat Wojira on their own, so Nyad merged with the Endless Sea and defeated Wojira oncea and for all.

After her sacrifice was honored, First Spinjitzu Master entrusted one of Wojira's amulets with Benthomaar's ancestor and hid the other half with the Islanders in the island nearby. The First Spinjitzu Master went on to create the realm of Ninjago while Trimaar's ancestor ruled over the oceans until his death.

By 2024, Trimaar was the ruler of the oceans.

After Nya, the current Elemental Master of Water, sacrificed herself to merge with the Endless Sea, Benthomaar became the king of Merlopia after failing to find her.
