Roy Eberhardt is the main protagonist and hero of the best-selling novel Hoot by Carl Hiaasen and the 2006 film adaptation of the same name.
He is a middle school-aged kid who has travelled from place to place in the last six years due to his father's job. When they come to Coconut Cove, Roy teams up with stepsiblings Mullet Finger and Beatrice Leep in saving a group of burrowing owls located on a construction site and stopping a pancake house being built there.
