Ravenclaw's Diadem is a magical item featured in the Harry Potter franchise. It is one of the seven Horcruxes created by Lord Voldemort that contained his one eighth of his soul in order to attain immortality.

History

The diadem once belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw but it was stolen by her daughter, Helena, who hid it in Albania. It was found by Tom Riddle after charming the ghost witch and turned into a Horcrux from the victim of an Albanian peasant. It was incinerated when Vincent Crabbe was killed in the Room of Requirements. Anyone who wore it would enhance their knowledge and wisdom, but it may have fed off the person's negative energy when it was turned into a Horcrux.

Trivia

• In the film, Harry destroyed the diadem with the Basilisk fang.
