Roku is the overarching protagonist of the Nickelodeon animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender,a minor character in The Legend of Korra and the titular main protagonist of the Legacy of the Avatar novel The Reckoning of Roku. He is a Fire Nation-born Avatar of the Past succeeding Kyoshi and preceding Aang as part of the Avatar cycle. He is also the grandfather of Ursa, the maternal great grandfather of Zuko, Kiyi and Azula and the former best friend of Fire Lord Sozin.
