Rita Santos (Kerith Atkinson) is one of the main characters of the Netflix original television series Mako: Island of Secrets. She was a mermaid from the Mako pod but left it to live a life in Land after her fiance was killed in a car crash. When three young Mermaids appear in her life, Rita becomes their mentor and helps them get their Moon Rings.
