Red Star (real name Leonid Kovar) is a supporting character in the Cartoon Network series, Teen Titans. He is a teen superhero from Russia who was a part of the super soldier program. However, the experiments caused him to gain superpowers. He saves Starfire from a blizzard, and is inspired by her to defeat the Radiation Monster. Red Star later becomes an Honorary Titan and officially becomes the Leader of the Titans North, the northern division of the Teen Titans.

Red Star was born Leonid Kovar, and his father was the well-known and evil criminal, Konstantin Kovar.
Originally a frail recruit in the soviet army, Red Star was chosen to take part in a top-secret super soldier program. Though the experiment made him superhumanly strong and agile, it also made him a ticking time that would unleash a huge explosion of radiation, destroying everything around him. Feared and hated by the people around him, Red Star was forced to retreat into solitude, but would eventually find closer after meeting the Teen Titan Starfire. Having found her unconscious in a blizzard, the young Outcast rescued and cared for her, causing the two to form a strong friendship. With her encouragement and guidance, Red Star was able to redeem himself in the eyes of his people and became a true superhero and an honorary Titan.
Red Star was one of the superheroes who helped defeat the Brotherhood of Evil. He helps his fellow Titans fight them off. He was seen slamming Mammoth into a wall and battling Steamroller. Red Star later joined the other Titans in bringing Doctor Light to justice.
In the comics, Leonid became the leader of Titans North.
