History[]
The Jungle Book[]
The panther, Bagheera, finds Mowgli abandoned in the jungle and realized the baby needed a mother ot take care of him. Remembering Raksha and Rama recently had children, he leaves the human child at the entrance of the cave. While glad Raksha has accepted Mowgli, when he sees Rama, Bagheera fears that the father will protest. To his relief, Rama decides to keep the human baby. For ten years, he and his wife raise Mowgli as if he were his own son; however, Shere Khan has returned to their part of the jungle. Rama insists that the boy he sees as his own son is a member of the pack and entitled to their pack's protection. Rama also states that he cannot send him into the jungle alone until Bagheera says he can take Mowgli to a Man Village he knows of, where he will be safe. Rama watches as Bagheera heads off.
