Sarai was the Queen of Katolis and a minor character in The Dragon Prince TV series. She was the wife of King Harrow, the older sister of Amaya, the mother of Callum and Ezran, as well as the daughter-in-law of King Atticus and the sister-in-law of Queen Janai. She was killed by Avizandum, the King of the Dragons, during an attempt to rescue Viren and unintentionally instrumental in the war between Humans and Xadians.

History[]

Sarai was born to unnamed parents and had one sister, Amaya. At all unknown point Sarah married a poet named Damian who was unfortunately born asthmatic and gave birth to their son, Callum. However, when her son was a toddler, her husband died of his illness. She eventually fell in love with Prince Harrow and they later married. She eventually became good friends with Lord Viren and possibly Lissa.

In "The Puzzle House" Sarai is pregnant with Harrow's son, at least seven months. Later giving birth to a second son, Ezran, her eldest Callum promised Sarah that he would love and protect his little brother at all costs.

Official Description[]

The fallen warrior queen of Katolis, Sarai was a deadly force on the battlefield and a compassionate mother to Prince Callum and Ezran. It wasn't easy for her to adjust to royal life at first, but she was determined to become a queen that the citizens of Katolis — and her sons — could be proud of. She now lies immortalized in the Valley of Graves, and the kingdom will forever remember her heroic sacrifice.

Trivia[]

  • Due to Sarai's frequent jelly tart consumption, her breath smelled like persimmon jelly tarts.
  • Sarai's statue captures the last moment Viren shared with her before the fatal attack of Avizandum, showing her outstretched hand, signaling for him to mount her horse, which would lead him to safety.
  • Despite becoming queen, Sarai was at her most comfortable in her armor.
  • Although Sarai does not appear in flashbacks until the second season, Callum sketches her in "The Dagger and the Wolf"
