Prince Lotor is the secondary antagonist of the DreamWorks animated TV series Voltron: Legendary Defender, which is the a reboot of Voltron: Defenders of the Universe
He is the crowned emperor and former prince of the Galra Empire and Emperor Zarkon's and Haggar's son who took command of the empire after his father lost his fight with the Voltron team and went into a coma. Haggar, who takes care of Zarkon, ordered the commanders to bring Lotor. He has four top generals who loyally serve under him and are half-Galra named Acxa, Ezor, Zethrid, and Narti, who he later kills. However the other three eventually defected to the Blade of Marmora by the series end.

- Unlike the original series he has no romantic feelings for Allura
- He is a Galran hybrid just like Keith, who is half human while Lotor is half-Altean.
- Lotor's story has similarities with Keith; who could have become something like Lotor had Shiro not entered his life.
- He is by far the most heroic and sympathetic version of Lotor.
- He is similar to aaravos in terms of appearance. They both have light purple skin, yellow colored eyes and white hair.
- Despite the creators claiming that Lotor couldn't be redeemed since the worse character got redeemed or at least died with dignity, many disagree with them.
